PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission device with improved heat dissipation efficiency, and to provide a manufacturing method of the optical transmission device.SOLUTION: An optical transmission device 10 includes: a heat exchanger plate 34; and a heat sink 38. A substrate 35 is disposed on an upper surface of the heat exchanger plate 34. Cages 36-1 to 6 are provided in parallel to each other on an upper surface of the substrate 35. The heat sink 38 includes a body part 39 and plate-like members 41-1 to 5. The body part 39 is disposed so as to be arranged along upper surfaces of the cages 36-1 to 6 which are located at the opposite side of the upper surface of the heat exchanger plate 34. The plate-like member 41 is provided so as to erect from a lower surface of the body part 39 that faces the upper surface of the substrate 35. The plate-like members 41-1 to 5 are disposed between the two adjacent cages. |
