PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device, an imaging method and a program, which enable a picture of a natural expression that a subject creates spontaneously to be taken.SOLUTION: An imaging device 1 comprises: a display control section 156 for causing a display section 31 to display an expression guide image where at least a part of a face expression of a subject is changed; an expression determination section 154 for determining similarity between a face expression of the subject in an image corresponding to image data created by an imaging section 10 and a face expression of the subject in the expression guide image displayed by the display section 31; and an imaging control section 155 causing the imaging section 10 to continuously imaging the subject until the expression determination section 154 determines that the face expression of the subject in the image is identical with the face expression of the subject in the expression guide image.
