<p>A massage table (1, 21, 37) of a massage device contains troughs (2, 22, 38, respectively) having an open lower portion (3, 23, 39) and walls (4, 24, 40) which are situated along the length of the table (1, 21, 37). A driving element (5) is installed below a trough (2, 22, 38). Autonomous massage elements (8) can differ in the form of the outer surface (32) thereof, in the hardness of the material used, in being provided with a closed cavity (49), and in being provided with protrusions (31) on the outer surface (32) thereof. Said elements are easily and conveniently placed into the troughs (2, 22, 38) so as to protrude above the walls (4, 24, 40) thereof and so as to frictionally engage with the driving element (5), and are easily and conveniently rearranged and removed. An autonomous massage element (8) can be in the form of a tennis ball, a billiard ball or a game ball. As the driving element (5) moves, the autonomous massage elements (8) are moved along the troughs (2, 22, 38), resulting in a massaging effect on a patient. The present invention achieves broader functional capabilities while being simple in design.</p> |
