CORNEAL OPACITY ANIMAL MODEL USING ALKALINE BURN AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTING OR TREATING OF CORNEAL OPACITY

The present invention provides an animal model in which corneal opacity is effectively induced by causing alkali burns at the center of the cornea with a strong alkali in an animal, and effectively screens a pharmaceutical agent for treating corneal opacity which is a main cause of vision loss by using a corneal opacity animal model induced according to the present invention. In addition, the present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating corneal opacity, wherein the pharmaceutical composition comprises chondrocyte-derived extracellular membrane (CDECM) verified by the animal model and the method for screening a therapeutic agent against corneal opacity.
