METHOD FOR DISPLAYING CUSTOMIZED COMPILATION MEDIA ITEMS ON AN ELECTRONIC DISPLAY DEVICE

A computer implemented method for displaying a customized compilation media item comprising a compilation of multiple images and textual content on an electronic display device screen. A compilation media item creator program stored in an electronic database employing at least first and second templates arranged in accordance with a media application script for display of first and second composite images in a specified sequence is accessed by a user. Saved customized compilation media items are included as individual media item along with other individual media items in a saved player program on an electronic database, and the electronic display device screen is driven with a media player to display media items on the electronic device display screen. Customized compilation media items further may be selected and combined into groups or channels of such compilation media items.

1. A computer implemented method for displaying a customized compilation media item comprising a compilation of multiple images and textual content on an electronic display device screen comprising:
accessing a compilation media item creator program stored in an electronic database employing at least first and second templates arranged in accordance with a media application script for display of first and second composite images in a specified sequence, wherein the first template includes one or more text boxes superimposed over a first background image field and the second template includes one or more text boxes superimposed over a second background image field; entering text to be displayed in one or more text box in the first template and selecting a background image to be displayed in the first background image field from images stored in an electronic database, and saving the entered text and selected background image in an electronic database to create saved information for the first composite image; entering text to be displayed in one or more text box in the second template and selecting a background image to be displayed in the second background image field from images stored in an electronic database and saving the entered text and selected background image in an electronic database to create saved information for the second composite image; saving the entered text and selected background images for the first and second templates in an electronic database in combination as a saved customized compilation media item; including the saved customized compilation media item as an individual media item along with other individual media items in a saved player program on an electronic database; and driving the electronic display device screen with a media player to display media items on the electronic device display screen, wherein the media player is configured by the saved player program to sequentially display different individual media items included in the saved player program, including the saved customized compilation media item.
