PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical gasket suited for use in an insertion exhaust pipe joint that exhibits both flexibility contributing to hermetic sealability and rigidity high enough to resist a fastening force from a fastening band, a manufacturing method for the cylindrical gasket, and an insertion exhaust pipe joint using the cylindrical gasket.SOLUTION: In a cylindrical gasket 23, a heat resistant material made of expanded graphite and a reinforcement made of a wire net are compressed and entangled together to provide structural integrity. An exposed cylindrical inner circumferential surface 19, an exposed cylindrical outer circumferential surface 20, and axial annular end surfaces 21 and 22 of the cylindrical gasket 23 are surfaces that are a mixture of surfaces made of the heat resistant material and the surfaces made of the reinforcement. In the cylindrical gasket 23, a density of the heat resistant material is 1.21 to 1.58 Mg/m, and a mass of the reinforcement accounts for 50% to 80% of an overall mass of the cylindrical gasket 23. |
