<p>The present invention refers to a mixture for manufacturing ceramic bricks, with the advantage of reducing the sintering time and temperature of products made of red clay bricks. Different compositions were developed: 1) red clay-crushed residues of fusible glass (broken glass (or containers of broken glass)); 2) red clay-crushed residues of tezontle stone, 3) red clay-residues of crushed fusible glass and tezontle stone. The performed studies shown that using the standard techniques of cooking brick products, based on the obtained mixtures, will result in bricks of suitable mechanical properties at low sintering temperatures ranging from 800°C to 1000°C (compared to a standard temperature ranging from 1050°C to 1100°C) and with a substantially reduced sintering time ranging from 8 h to 24 h (compared to the standard period of time of 72 h).</p> |
