<p>A broadcast receiver is provided with: a main tuner (3a) which receives radio waves and is sequentially set to tuning frequencies in a range of frequencies for which searching is to be carried out; a sub tuner (3b) which receives radio waves and is sequentially set to tuning frequencies each offset from a respective tuning frequency set for the main tuner (3a) by the frequency difference Deltaf between a center frequency and either of the frequency bands symmetrically adjacent to the center frequency; a radio wave state determination unit (11) which determines whether the difference in the electric field strength level of the radio waves received by the tuners (3a,3b) is a predetermined value; and a search control unit (15) which determines the frequency of the broadcast station from the frequencies of the radio waves received by the tuners (3a,3b) on the basis of the determination results of the radio wave state determination unit (11).</p> |
