The current feed-through comprises a mounting feature 10 for attachment at a through hole (see fig 1), an electrical insulator 20 and a cap piece 22. A conductive member 18 includes a bore or groove 24 so as to accommodate a superconducting wire 30. This arrangement ensures that both the conductive member 18 and the superconducting wire 30 are accessible from both sides of the mounting feature 10. This arrangement also ensures mechanical integrity and electrical isolation between the mounting feature and the member. A second embodiment (see figs 7 & 9) omits the conductive member 18. |
