PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a material for a polishing pad having excellent softness as well as excellent durability.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the material for the polishing pad includes coating the surface of a porous layer composed of a polymer elastic body having openings with a processing liquid containing the cross-linking agent of the polymer elastic body. Further, it is preferable that the cross-linking agent is isocyanate based one, that the coating method of the processing liquid is a gravure roll processing, and that the porous layer composed of the polymer elastic body is formed by a wet coagulation method. |
