Disclosed are an acousto-optic element, an acousto-optic element array, and a display device using an acousto-optic element. The acousto-optic element includes an acousto-optic modulation part which includes an acousto-optic layer made of an acousto-optic material, a light supply part which projects light to the acousto-optic modulation part in a first direction, a first sound modulation part which applies a first elastic wave to the acousto-optic modulation part in a second direction, and a second sound modulation part which applies a second elastic wave to the acousto-optic modulation part in a third direction. Light supplied from the light supply part to the acousto-optic modulation part is deflected by the refraction of the first and the second elastic wave, so that it can be emitted to the front side of the acousto-optic modulation part.
