The present invention relates to a computer system for space application and an operating method therefor. A computer system for space application according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a master computer; and a slave computer exchanging logic control signals with the mater computer. The master computer and the slave computer comprise: a computer core unit having at least one among a processor module, a transponder module for a ground access, and an input/output module; and an error detecting and restoring module determining an error by monitoring internal or external signals and determining an operating mode of each computer among normal mode, survival mode, and waiting mode depending on the type of the error.
