<p>The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for measuring the size of a ship cargo hold. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for measuring the size of a ship cargo hold comprises: a sensor part for detecting the three-dimensional coordinate values of each of a plurality of points on the upper surface of a ship including a cargo hold; and a calculation part for calculating the size of the cargo hold by selecting a plurality of lower end representative segments, a plurality of upper end representative segments, a plurality of left side representative segments and a plurality of right side representative segments, which constitute the edges of the cargo hold, using the three-dimensional coordinate values, selecting segments satisfying parallel or perpendicularity conditions among the lower end representative segments, the upper end representative segments, the left side representative segments and the right side representative segments as a lower end-satisfying segment, an upper end-satisfying segment, a left side-satisfying segment and a right side-satisfying segment, and calculating a distance between the lower end-satisfying segment and the upper end-satisfying segment and a distance between the left side-satisfying segment and the right side-satisfying segment.</p> |
