摘要 <p>The present invention relates to flavonoid-O-methyltransferase (SpOMT2884) derived from Streptomyces peucetius ATCC 27952 and, more specifically, to a coding gene for the O-methyltransferase (SpOMT2884), a recombinant microorganism with the gene induced, a manufacturing method of O-methyltransferase (SpOMT2884) using the recombinant microorganism, and a method for methylating flavonoid using the enzyme. According to the present invention, novel O-methyltransferase (SpOMT2884) can be effectively used as a medicine for chronic disease or the like in various fields in an industrial scale by methylating various flavonoids and increasing radical removal of flavonoids, antiinflammation, antimutation, anti-AIDS, anti-allergy, antiplatelet, oxidation prevention, and aniti-neurodegeneration.</p>
