<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orifice plate for an inkjet print head for ejecting an ink droplet. <P>SOLUTION: This orifice plate comprises an outer surface with wettability with ink, and at least one orifice which is arranged on the outer surface. The orifice is constituted in such a manner as to eject the ink droplet. Each orifice has an edge which defines a transition boundary between the orifice and the outer surface. The wettability of the outer surface becomes smaller near the edge of the at least one orifice, and increases with increasing distans from the edge of the orifice. The increase of the wettability with the increasing distans from the edge of the orifice provides a driving force for moving of the remaining ink droplet from the edge and moving it toward a wettable area, so as to reduce the risk of interfering the trajectory of the following ejected ink droplet.
