This desulfurization system is for hydrodesulfurizing a fuel gas which includes sulfur content, and is provided with a desulfurization unit including: a first hydrodesulfurization catalyst precursor containing one or more species of metal oxide selected from the group consisting of NiO, CoO, MoO3, and WO3; and a first hydrogen sulfide absorbent containing ZnO.
