PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring a diameter of a cylinder liner while a two-stroke crosshead engine is in a temporarily non-operation state, and to provide a diameter measuring device used by the method.SOLUTION: An electronic diameter measuring device 10 for measuring a diameter of a cylinder liner 106 is inserted in the inside of the cylinder liner 106 of an internal combustion engine through a scavenging port 103 to be arranged at a measurement position and measures an inside diameter of the cylinder liner 106 as electronic parameters.
