摘要 A structural improvement on a bottom lighting type backlight source, relating to the technical field of liquid crystal display. Provided is a light source (40) using quantum dots. The light source (40) comprises a substrate (41). A lamp bar (43) and light mixing bodies (42) disposed around the lamp bar (43) are disposed on the substrate (41). Quantum dot stick blocks (45) are disposed at the tops of the light mixing bodies (42). Light emitted by the lamp bar (43) is refracted by the quantum dot stick blocks (45) and then is emitted out. Light outgoing surfaces of the quantum dot stick blocks (45) are curved surfaces. Also provided are a method for manufacturing the quantum dot stick blocks (45) and a new bottom lighting type backlight source assembled by using the quantum dot stick blocks (45). By means of the structural improvement on the quantum dot stick blocks (45), light outgoing surfaces of the quantum dot stick blocks (45) become into curved surface, the light diffusion angle formed after light emitted by the lamp bar (43) passes through the quantum dot stick blocks (45) is increased, and finally, the light outgoing angle of the light source (40) is increased.
