<p>A process for bulk production of graphene is disclosed, comprising providing a first substrate of graphite with a surface, providing a second substrate adjacent the first substrate with a separation therebetween, providing a fluid with a viscosity in contact with the first and the second substrates, and inducing shear stresses on the first surface through the fluid. The shear stresses are induced in sufficient degree to cause graphene layers to separate from the surface of the graphite substrate and to be entrained within the fluid. The fluid is then processed to obtain a graphene reinforced material or article.</p> |
