PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece abutment unit that makes accuracy of alignment of a jig high and that facilitates jig replacement work, and a machine tool. ! SOLUTION: A workpiece abutment unit 3 includes a collet member 30 and a jig 34. The collet member 30 can be deformed to be expanded/contracted in a radial direction. Since the collet member 30 is deformed to be expanded/contracted in the radial direction, the jig 34 is aligned to be coaxial with the collet member 30. The jig 34 abuts on a workpiece W. !
