URETHANE DECOMPOSING METHOD AND URETHANE DECOMPOSING AGENT

In order to provide a novel urethane decomposing method by which urethane in the environment is processed efficiently and at a low cost, and a urethane decomposing agent, this urethane decomposing method is characterized by the inclusion of: a step in which a urethane-containing material to be processed is processed using an unsaturated fatty acid; and a step in which a microorganism belonging to a Streptomyces genus exhibiting urethane decomposing function is made to act on the material to be processed that was processed by the fatty acid. It is preferred that the microorganism belonging to the Streptomyces genus is specified by accession number FERM P-21770.
