PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head which improves the deformation of a head during the impact and can cause improved deformation behavior of a ball during the impact.SOLUTION: A ball striking device, such as a golf club 100, includes a head with a face having an outer surface configured for striking a ball, a body 108 connected to the face, and a channel 140 located in the body 108. The channel 140 is configured to influence characteristics of the impact of a ball on the face, e.g., by flexing or compressing in response to the force of the impact, exerting a response or reaction force on the face, changing the motion or behavior of the face, and other manners. The head may also include a pair of channels 140 that have a gap 160 between them. |
