PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance lubricity of water lubrication of a shaft sliding member made of rubber.SOLUTION: The shaft sliding member 11 is made as a bearing or a sealing material and slid on a shaft member 12 and its base material 13 is made of nitrile rubber for water lubrication with the shaft member 12. Methacrylic acid is coated as a reaction liquid on the surface of the base material 13 of the shaft sliding member 11, an electron beam is irradiated on the surface, and a grafting layer is formed on the surface of the base material 13. The grafting layer is ion exchange-treated with a potassium hydroxide aqueous solution, and a lubrication layer 14 which is a superhydrophilic gel layer is formed on the surface of the base material 13. Water 41 fed for water lubrication between the shaft sliding member 11 and the shaft member 12 is held with the lubrication layer 14, and lubricity based on water lubrication between the shaft sliding member 11 and the shaft member 12 is improved. |
