<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oral preparation effective for the prevention and alleviation of retinopathy caused by light or aging and asthenopia caused by the retinopathy and having high safety, even on using for a long period. <P>SOLUTION: This oral preparation for preventing or alleviating the retinopathy is characterized by blending peppermint. The oral preparation for preventing and alleviating the asthenopia is characterized by blending the peppermint.
