A mass entertainment apparatus comprises a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter comprises a recording means in the form of a plurality of cameras 20 which acquire images and sound from multiple different angles at a location (e.g. a live sports venue 10). The receiver is a 3D viewer which can be viewed by a large number of people at the same time. The 3D viewer processes the feed from the plurality of cameras to generate a panoramic three-dimensional holographic presentation with surround sound in an amphitheatre-type environment, such that multiple spectators can simultaneously enjoy an enhanced viewing experience. |
