<p>In an elevator apparatus, a travel controller controls a travel of a car. The travel controller also generates an operation command signal for operating a brake device. A brake controller controls the brake device in response to the operation command signal from the travel controller. When a failure of the brake controller is detected, the control performed by the brake controller is invalidated so that the brake device is directly operated in response to the operation command signal.</p> |
