<p>According to one embodiment, a load distribution apparatus includes a receiving unit, an acquisition unit, an estimation unit, and a selection unit. The receiving unit is configured to receive a program of an energy saving service from a service provider. The acquisition unit is configured to acquire an external information related to the energy saving service. The estimation unit is configured to estimate a resource consumption of respective computer resources of a plurality of servers to execute the program based on the external information.
