<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus for manufacturing float glass. The apparatus includes: a bath containing melted metal on which a glass ribbon floats; a roof arranged above the bath; a roof casing forming a space between the roof and the same; a partition which divides the space in a widthwise direction of the glass ribbon; a top roll which provides tension to the glass ribbon in the widthwise direction thereof by supporting side edges of the glass ribbon; and a plurality of heaters which are inserted and penetrates into a through-hole of the roof. The heaters are controlled for each region. The region in the bath includes a shaping region which imposes tension on the glass ribbon by the top roll. When viewed from the top, a boundary line of the region is set along at least a portion of the side edges of the glass ribbon in the shaping region. The partition is formed along the boundary line.</p> |
