At least one elastically movable material section (4) is provided, against the restoring force of which the moulding (1) can be arranged in its installation position (E); The invention is thus a moulding with a resilient clip for attachment to the vehicle, the moulding being suitable for making constant contact with a sensor to prevent backlash and activation timing delay. There is also an assembly with such a moulding (1') and a hood detector (100).
