The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for collecting gas, which are allowed to increase concentration of target gas in collected gas with use of one gas separation membrane module and a plurality of gas storage tanks wherein the apparatus for collecting gas is allowed to perform n times of concentration process (n is a natural number) and comprises a gas separation membrane module for dividing injected gas through each concentration process into gas to be permeated and gas to be collected and n+1 numbers of gas storage tanks. In the n^th concentration process of the present invention, gas stored in a n^th gas storage tank is supplied by the gas separation membrane module and is divided into a n^th gas to be permeated and a n^th gas to be collected wherein the n^th gas to be permeated is stored in a (n-1)^th gas storage tank, and the n^th gas to be collected is stored in a (n+1)^th gas storage tank where a (2n-1)^th concentration process is made in a forward direction (n is a natural number), and a (2n)^th concentration process is made in a backward direction wherein the forward direction is a gas flow from a first end to a second end of the gas separation membrane module, and the backward direction is the opposite direction of the forward direction. |
