A brake system for construction equipment according to the present invention comprises: a brake valve to receive oil and supply oil to a vehicle axle brake when a brake pedal is pressed, and discharge oil present between the same and the vehicle axle brake into a transmission oil tank when the brake pedal is released; and a transmission pump to pump oil in the transmission oil tank to supply the oil to a transmission and supply the oil to the brake valve when the brake pedal is pressed. The brake system for construction equipment according to the present invention supplies the oil in the transmission oil tank pumped and supplied to the transmission by the transmission pump to increase braking power. Therefore, the braking power is increased without adding an additional device, which improves mileage and reduces costs.
