<p>The present invention relates to a switching device for an electric lighting unit for use in a motor vehicle that is equipped for a lighting unit of a different kind, the switching device comprising a terminal for electrical connection to the lighting unit, a terminal for electrical connection to the power supply cable of the motor vehicle for a lighting unit, a terminal for electrical connection to a battery of the motor vehicle, circuitry for drawing a predefined amount of electric power from the power supply cable and to make a connection between the terminal for electrical connection to the lighting unit and the terminal for electrical connection to the battery of the motor vehicle.</p> |
