PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile press-in/pull-out machine capable of reducing the load acting on the machine while performing construction work. ! SOLUTION: A pile press-in/pull-out machine 10 reduces the load K for lifting up/down a chuck unit 15 according to height position of the chuck unit 15. With this, a component force of a rotational moment M in a horizontal direction which acts on the pile press-in/pull-out machine 10 can be reduced.
