According to one aspect of the disclosed present invention, provided are an X-ray detector, an X-ray imaging apparatus having the same and a control method thereof, capable of independently controlling a frame rate of each area. According to one aspect of the disclosed present invention, an X-ray detector is two-dimensionally arranged to have a plurality of pixels outputting an electrical signal corresponding to an incident X-ray, which comprises: a plurality of gate lines connecting the pixels toward a row direction; a plurality of data lines connecting the pixels toward a column direction; a read-out circuit reading out an electrical signal from the pixels through the data lines; and a switching unit independently switching on and off a connection between the data lines and the read-out circuit in each data line.
