<p>Disclosed are radar for vehicle and a guardrail recognizing method thereof. The present invention comprises; a transmitting unit which produces a transmission signal in response to an input signal and radiates it; a receiving unit which receives a reception signal in which a transmission signal is reflected on a target and produces a bit signal by using the frequency difference between the reception signal and the transmission signal; and a signal analyzing unit which analyzes position distribution and speed distribution for the target by analyzing the bit signal and sets a position window and a speed window of a predetermined size for each of the objects included in the analyzed position distribution and speed distribution. The signal analyzing unit determines the targets in which the position window and the speed window overlap each other as a guardrail. The radar for vehicle and the guardrail recognizing method thereof determines the target as the guardrail by setting the position window and the speed window on each target in target information which is analyzed from a receiving signal if an area in which the both windows are overlapped exists. Therefore, the present invention makes the radar not mistake the guardrail for a vehicle by easily extracting the target information for the guardrail.</p> |
