PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar light source device capable of acquiring sufficient display quality, and a display device including the same.SOLUTION: A planar light source device 50 includes: a housing having an opening 5a; a point light source 7 arranged on at least one side surface in the housing; an emission surface 3b arranged in the housing and facing the opening 5a; a light guide plate 3 having an opposite emission surface 3c facing the emission surface 3b; a reflection sheet 2 arranged on the opposite emission surface 3c side of the light guide plate 3 in the housing; and a reflection region 8b arranged at least in one part of a peripheral part of the point light source 7 on the side surface where the point light source 7 is arranged in the housing, and absorbing at least one part of wavelengths. |
