<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melting furnace for melting metal capable of supplying a metal raw material and an alloy raw material to a hearth while accurately controlling the ratio of the metal raw material and the alloy raw material. <P>SOLUTION: The melting furnace for melting metal includes a raw material supply device, the hearth for retaining molten metal of the raw materials, a mold to which the molten metal is charged, and a jig for pulling out an ingot from a lower part of the mold. The hearth is mounted on a weighing instrument, and the raw material supply device is composed of a metal raw material feeder, and an alloy raw material feeder. Further, in a melting method for an alloy ingot using the melting furnace for melting metal, a designated amount of the metal raw material is supplied to the hearth by continuously operating the metal raw material feeder only, and subsequently, the alloy raw material corresponding to the weight of the metal raw material charged to the hearth is supplied by intermittently operating the alloy raw material feeder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
