A composite sensor assembly for a gas insulated switchgear according to the present invention comprises; a microwave sensor having a microwave antenna to detect an electromagnetic wave signal according to partial discharge generated within an enclosure tank of a gas insulated switchgear; a light sensor which detects light according to the partial discharge generated within the enclosure tank of the gas insulated switchgear; and a sensor supporting plate which supports the microwave sensor and the light sensor. An external electromagnetic wave noise can be complemented through a detection signal from the light sensor. The limit of a detection area of the light sensor can be complemented through the detection signal of the microwave sensor. Therefore, a partial discharge by the degradation of the gas insulated switchgear can be detected effectively and accurately.
