Electromagnetic stirring device of melted metallic materials inside a cooling chamber of a casting machine in which said electromagnetic stirring device applies a stirring force by means of application of a current generating an electromagnetic field through induction coils, said stirring force acting in correspondence with a partially solidified metallic material bar which moves within said cooling chamber, said metallic material bar comprising a shell at the solid state enclosing a nucleus at the melted state which is intended to be subject to the action of said stirring electromagnetic field, said electromagnetic stirring device comprising a retaining body of said induction coils, said body being provided with a duct internal to said body which is intended for the passage of said metallic material bar in which said body is composed of portions which are intended to be moved by means of driving means between at least two configurations characterized in that said electromagnetic stirring device is associated and/or associable to movement means to move said electromagnetic stirring device along the development in length of said metallic material bar, said movement means being intended to the movement of said electromagnetic stirring device along guide means developing in an essentially parallel direction with respect to said metallic material bar at least for a portion of the total development in length of said metallic material bar in different operative positions along said metallic material bar.
