This heat exchanger is provided with multiple tubes (2) and with a header tank (5) which is positioned at the end of the multiple tubes (2) in the longitudinal direction and which communicates with the multiple tubes (2). The header tank (5) has a core plate (51) to which the multiple tubes (2) are bonded, and a tank main body (52) which is fixed to the core plate (51). The core plate (51) comprises a tube bonding surface (511), a sealing surface (512), and an inclined surface (513) which connects the tube bonding surface (511) and the sealing surface (515). Since the inclined surface (513) is inclined relative to the longitudinal direction, the distance between the tube bonding surface (511) and the end surface (20) of the multiple tubes (2) in the longitudinal direction is different from the distance between the sealing surface (512) and said end surface (20).
