RADIOGRAPHIC IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, METHOD AND PROGRAM

[Problem] To ameliorate the deleterious effects of scattered radiation on contrast in radiographic images. [Solution] A frequency analyzer (42) performs a frequency analysis of a radiographic image, and generates band images expressing the frequency components in each frequency band. A reference image generator (43) generates a reference image expressing information associated with scattered radiation included in the radiographic image, and generates reference band images corresponding to the frequency bands from the reference image. A band image transformer (44) generates transformed band images by transforming the corresponding pixels of the reference band image and the band image in corresponding frequency bands. A synthesizer (46) generates a processed radiographic image in which the contrast has been transformed by synthesizing the transformed band images.
