The present invention relates to the technical field of communications, and more particularly to a power adjustment device and method for resolving a problem of exception due to the reason that a receiving end cannot adjust receiving power according to far end crosstalk FEXT. A vector control entity VCE provided in embodiments of the present invention comprises: a downlink FEXT determining module for determining the power value of the downlink FEXT generated from signals on a line corresponding to port j to signals on a line corresponding to port i and the receiving power value of FTU-R corresponding to port i; a downlink receiving power adjustment module, for determining the virtual power margin corresponding to port i according to the two power value determined by the downlink FEXT determining module when port i is activated, and transmitting the virtual power margin to the FTU-R corresponding to port i, thereby enabling the FTU-R to adjust receiving power according to the virtual power margin. With the device provided in the embodiments of the present invention, the receiving power can be adjusted according to the FEXT, and an operating exception of transceiver unit caused by too large receiving power is avoided. |
