METHOD FOR ASSIGNING DEVICE OID IN OPEN M2M SYSTEM AND APPLICATION SYSTEM USING SAME

A method for assigning a device OID in an open M2M system is provided. The device OID assigning method, according to one embodiment of the present invention, enables an OID to be assigned/registered to a device, wherein the OID includes a first arc indicating the manufacturer of the device, a second arc indicating the model of the device and a third arc indicating the serial number of the device. Accordingly, global uniqueness can be secured when registering and searching for devices in an open M2M system, on the basis of a device identification system for securing the global uniqueness in IoT and open M2M systems.
