An exhaust gas purification catalyst for purifying nitrogen oxides and comprising a catalyst support and cerium oxide supported thereon, wherein: the catalyst support contains one or more types of zeolite selected from a group consisting of chabazite, SAPO-34 and SSZ-13, and also contains copper, iron, or a mixture of copper and iron in the amount of 1-10 wt% with the catalyst as a reference; and the cerium oxide is contained in the amount of 1-30 wt% with the catalyst as a reference, and has a crystallite diameter of 0.1-2.5 nm, inclusive. |
