<p>A display device and a method of controlling the same are disclosed. The display device includes a display unit configured to display visual information, a sensor unit configured to sense gesture input, and a processor configured to control the display unit and the sensor unit. The processor detects first gesture input when the display device is in a standby mode, determines a matching ratio between a pattern of the detected first gesture input and an unlock pattern, activates a pattern recognition interface if the matching ratio exceeds a predetermined ratio, wherein the pattern recognition interface displays position marks on the display unit, detects second gesture input for the displayed position marks, and unlocks the display device if the pattern of the first gesture input and the second gesture input matches the unlock pattern.</p> |
