PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element array which satisfies both of improvement in heat dissipation performance of each light emitting element and improvement in array integrity to enable improvement in output per unit area of the light emitting element array.SOLUTION: A light emitting element array 110 comprises: a substrate 101; a first semiconductor layer 103 which is provided on the substrate and composes a mesa structure; an active layer 104 provided on a surface of the first semiconductor layer on the side opposite to a surface where the substrate is provided and on the mesa structure; and a second semiconductor layer 105 provided on the active layer, in which each of the first semiconductor layer, the active layer and the second semiconductor layer is composed of a nitride semiconductor, and a plurality of light emitting elements 100 each emitting light in a direction perpendicular to a surface of the substrate are provided. The light emitting element has a heat dissipation layer 130 and the heat dissipation layer is provided at a position where a project plane of the mesa structure and a project plane of the heat dissipation layer do not overlap when viewed from an optical axis direction of the light emitting element and an area of the project plane of the heat dissipation layer is within a predetermined range. |
