A portable telephone (1) is provided with a first image capturing unit (20) which captures an image, an image output unit (13) which emits light in a direction in which the first image capturing unit (20) captures the image, and a control unit (11) which controls the first image capturing unit (20) and the image output unit (13). The control unit (11) performs, on the basis of a shutter operation, first image capturing for capturing the image by the first image capturing unit (20) without causing the image output unit (13) to emit the light and second image capturing for causing the image output unit (13) to emit the light and capturing the image by the first image capturing unit (20), and on the basis of a difference in state between the same portions of a first captured image captured by the first image capturing and a second captured image captured by the second image capturing, divides the region of the first captured image into a subject region and a background region. |
