The present invention relates to an opening and closing device for a vehicle door. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an opening and closing device for a vehicle door comprises: a motor generating a rotational force; a gear supplied with a rotational force from the motor; a pulley forming a same axle with the gear; a clutch forming a same axle with the gear and interlocked with the pulley and the gear; and a lifter changing a direction of power to a direction wherein the interlock between the clutch and the gear is released.
