PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional image display device employing a parallax barrier system, in which a favorable three-dimensional image can be recognized even when a line of view horizontally shifts.SOLUTION: The three-dimensional image display device employing a parallax barrier system includes: a liquid crystal display device employing an IPS system and having a TFT substrate and a counter substrate; and a liquid crystal barrier panel employing a TN system and having a first substrate and a second substrate. The counter substrate of the liquid crystal display device and the second substrate of the liquid crystal barrier panel are disposed facing each other interposing a polarizing plate. The TFT substrate includes pixels having a pixel electrode formed in a planar shape and a common electrode having a slit and formed on the pixel electrode. The TFT substrate includes a first pixel in which an angle formed by an alignment axis of the TFT substrate and the direction of the major axis of the slit is &thetas;1, and a second pixel in which an angle formed by the alignment axis of the TFT substrate and the direction of the major axis of the slit is &thetas;2; and the angles &thetas;1 and &thetas;2 are in a relation of &thetas;1=-&thetas;2.
