PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system, a communication method, an electronic apparatus, an application server, and a program that enable a client capable of full-time connection and the server to perform communication using full-time connection while keeping communication between a client incapable of full-time connection and the server possible as before.SOLUTION: There is provided a network system comprising an electronic apparatus, a full-time connection server to perform full-time connection with the electronic apparatus, and an application server to transmit data to the electronic apparatus in response to polling from the electronic apparatus. The application server pushes a polling command to the electronic apparatus via the full-time connection server.
